How To Order a Transcript or Digital Audio Recording

 

1. Ordering an Original Transcript (first copy).

  • Step 1: In CM/ECF, locate the minute entry for the proceeding(s) that you want transcribed.
  • Step 2: Complete the Transcript Request Form and convert it to PDF.
  • Step 3: In CM/ECF, file the Transcript Request Form using the Transcript Request Event. Click here for detailed filing procedures.
  • Step 4: The court reporter will receive electronic notice of your request.

 

 

2. Ordering a Copy of a Transcript.

  • Step 1: In CM/ECF, determine whether a transcript has already been produced for the proceeding(s) you want transcribed or locate the minute entry for the proceeding(s) for which you want a copy of the transcript.
  • Step 2: Using the Transcript Request Event, indicate that you want to order a copy of a transcript. When prompted, either select the Transcript of the proceeding or upload a Transcript Request Form. Click here for detailed filing procedures.
  • Step 3: The court reporter will receive electronic notice of your request.

 

 

3. How to Order a Digital Audio Recording.

  • Step 1: In CM/ECF, locate the minute entry for the proceeding(s) that you want a copy of the digital audio recording.

    Note: If a court reporter was present for the proceeding, you must purchase a transcript to obtain a recording of that proceeding.
     

  • Step 2: In CM/ECF, submit your request using the Digital Audio Recording Event. When prompted, select the minute entry of the proceeding for which you want a digital recording. You will be prompted to pay for the copy of the recording via Pay.gov. You will have the option of having the recording made into a CD to be mailed to you or for you to pick-up at the Clerk's Office or downloaded directly from CM/ECF in MP3 format. 4. Procedures for Non-Parties or Pro Se Parties

Non-Parties or Pro Se Parties may submit a transcript or digital audio recording request by:

 

For transcript requests, Clerk's Office staff will file your request in CM/ECF to notify the Court Reporter of your request.

For digital audio recordings, Clerk's Office staff will file your request in CM/ECF to produce a copy of the audio recording on a CD for pick-up at the Clerk's Office.
