Criminal Debt

In-Person or by Mail:

Payments may be mailed or in-person (via cashier’s check, money order, or personal check made payable to Clerk, U.S. District Court) to Clerk, U.S. District Court, 300 South Fourth Street – Suite 202, Minneapolis, MN 55415. Please include your name and case number on the payment document.

Online Payment for Criminal Debt:

The U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota has the capability to accept on-line payments for Special Assessments, Fines, and Restitution. The District of Minnesota accepts one transaction up to $5,000 per day per payor. Payments may be made via U.S. Treasury website, Pay.Gov, using a debit or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover or American Express) or bank account. Payors have the option to make a single payment or create a recurring payment (bank account only) based on a schedule of their choosing.

Online Payment Assistance for Criminal Debt:

Please note that District of Minnesota does not operate Pay.gov, so operational, password, and login questions may be referred to Pay.gov ONLINE HELP. Other questions may be referred to the Clerk’s Office Financial Services Department by calling  (612) 664-5015, or finance@mnd.uscourts.gov.

Mobile App for Criminal Debt:

The District of Minnesota is also able to accept payments for Assessments, Fines, and Restitution via its mobile app, “MND Debt”. This is a free mobile application available in both the Apple and Android app stores. To download the application, please visit the following App stores:
