JUROR SCAM ALERT: People are impersonating the U.S. Marshal Service and other law enforcement agencies telling individuals that they must pay money for not reporting to jury duty or they will be arrested.  THIS IS A SCAM!  The U.S. Marshals, Sheriff’s Office, or Police Department will NEVER call you regarding federal jury service nor will they ask you to pay for not attending federal jury service. 

Jury service is an important civic responsibility and a privilege that we all share as citizens of the United States of America. Only by having people like you participate in this process can we ensure that all persons in federal court will be afforded their constitutional right to have a jury pool drawn from a fair cross-section of the community.
