St. Paul Courthouse Renovation Project

General Overview

Beginning September 30, 2005 the U.S. District Court will be vacating the Federal Courthouse located at: 316 North Robert Street, St. Paul, Minnesota 55101. The building will be completely renovated to meet a modern court's operational needs. During the renovations which could take up to three years to complete the District Court will be moving to temporary space located at 180 East Fifth Street in downtown St. Paul. The space will include chambers, courtrooms, a Clerk's Office and courtrooms and hearing rooms to hold all proceedings except criminal in-custody hearings which will be held in the Minneapolis courthouse.
