Chief Magistrate Judge Jonathan Lebedoff

Jonathan Lebedoff was appointed as a United States Magistrate Judge on September 20, 1991.  He was reappointed a United States Magistrate Judge on September 20, 1999. He became Chief Magistrate Judge in March of 2002. He received his law degree from University of Minnesota in 1963. Prior to becoming a U.S. Magistrate Judge, he served as a Hennepin County Municipal Court Judge from 1971-1974 and as State District Court Judge from 1974-1991.

Magistrate Judge Lebedoff has been engaged in a wide variety of bar association activities and served on a number of state boards, including service on the State Board of Continuing Legal Education, and the Minnesota Supreme Court Task Force for Gender Fairness in the Courts.
